'Tis the season — for the macabre, that is.
We're gearing up for the holiday season, which kicks off with our favorite one of all: Halloween. Before we dive into turkeys and trees, we're celebrating everything ghastly, gory, and grotesque (and don't worry — we have some sweet stuff for little trick-or-treaters, too).
All eight of our stores have a curated selection of Halloween books, from The Monster's Cookbook to Frightlopedia. Whether you're into morbid curios or merely death by pumpkin spice, we have peculiar pop-ups, skull coloring books, and eerie anthologies to suit every reader.
We're also hosting several Halloween-themed literary events this month. In Petaluma, we're launching the local Word Horde's anthology Eternal Frankenstein on October 28. The book, published by our very own Ross Lockhart, is a compendium about Mary Shelley's macabre masterpiece that features writing by a variety of authors, including some Copperfield's team members! You can also join us the next night, October 29, in Montgomery Village for another free book launch event with Lisa Miranda, author of the Witch Dancer series.
Come on down to your hometown Copperfield's this October and get in the spooky spirit with us!
