Petaluma - Literacyworks and Copperfield’s Books presents best-selling author and Professor of Public Policy at UC Berkeley, Robert B. Reich. Reich’s newest book is a passionate manifesto on why we must restore the idea of the common good back to the center of our economics and politics. With the warmth and lucidity that has made him one of our most important public voices, Robert B. Reich makes the case for an inclusive understanding of the American project, centering on the moral obligations of citizenship. Secretary Reich will be in conversation with former US Representative Lynn Woolsey, who served for California's 6th congressional district from 1993 to 2013.
This series is a fundraiser for Literacyworks Center, a project that assists underserved, low-income, low-literacy adult students and their families with maneuvering and solving the educational, logistical and personal challenges they face to stay in school or succeed at work.
