Santa Rosa - Taking readers on a years-long journey as he attempts to understand why eight Palo Alto teenagers ended their own lives in the same manner, Kravetz (coauthor of Supersurvivors) asks whether people can consciously or unconsciously spread infectious ideas and behaviors. In conversations with behavioral experts, Kravetz considers how behaviors such as eating disorders, emotional burnout, hysteria, fear, violence, suicide, and even a bizarre case of impulsive uncontrollable laughter can become contagious and be transmitted throughout a community.
Lee will be partnering with local wellness and mental health groups for a very special panel discussion during this event.
The program will include:
- Katie Swan: Family Service Coordinator for Buckelew Sonoma
- Laishacarol Prondzinski: Counselor for Buckelew’s Sonoma Transition Age Youth Program
- Nicole Wiecks: Volunteer at the North Bay Suicide Prevention Hotline
