FIRST AUTHOR EVENT IN OUR NEW NOVATO STORE! Join local authors Seré Prince Halverson and Melissa Cistaro for this inaugural event in our new store. Both graduates of Novato High, the two writers will examine how growing up there shaped their paths to becoming published authors. Cistaro is the author of Pieces of My Mother, a memoir that deals with the mother who abandoned her as her mother lays dying many years later, while Halverson’s latest book, the novel All the Winters After, likewise paints a portrait of grief and acceptance against the majestic yet dangerous backdrop of Alaska.
