Napa - Wine Country Women of Napa Valley features some of the valley’s most prominent women and oldest families, including contributions from Gina Gallo of the Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery, Hilary Newsom of the PlumpJack Group, Violet Grgich of Grgich Hills Estate, and Reagan Rombauer Blackwood of Rombauer Vineyards, among many others. Book editor Michelle Mandro will be on hand to sign books and chat with customers. Special guests will incude winemaker at Cornerstone Cellars, Kari Auringer, vineyard owner and wine grower of Mount Vedeer Magic Vineyards, Karen Crouse and Suzanne Truchard of Truchard Vineyards.
Michelle Mandro, founder and president of Wine Country Women, LLC, has worked in the wine industry for nearly a decade, beginning as the executive director of the American Institute of Wine & Food, a national association started by Robert Mondavi and Julia Child. She has also worked for numerous wineries in addition to her work with two Fortune 500 companies and in the television news at the CBS and NBC affiliates in Louisville, Kentucky. Mandro splits her time between California and Kentucky.
